Trauma Therapy

OUR Trauma therapy APPROACh

In this work, we gain skills like mindfulness, inner reparenting and nervous system regulation at a pace that is attuned to your system can tolerate. Using IFS and a somatic approach, we also attend to internal parts of you as well as bodily sensations, supporting awareness with care towards not overwhelming the system. Mindfulness helps us notice what is present moment by moment, while IFS helps us begin to access Self-energy, the inner leader of our system, to stay anchored in the here and now, offering compassion and care to all of the parts of ourselves.

"Trauma creates change you don't choose. Healing is about creating change you do choose." — Michele Rosenthal"

Healing from trauma is not about forcing change or reliving what was painful. It is about creating enough safety to gently turn toward what has been carried inside our minds and bodies, living not only in our memory systems, but in the body and nervous system, continuing to shape how we feel, react, and relate long after an experience has passed.

Together, we focus on increasing nervous system capacity and internal trust, so protective parts no longer have to work so hard to manage pain and keep difficult experiences pushed away. As safety grows, emotions, memories, and physical sensations can be met with curiosity and compassion rather than fear and urgency.

Holding deep awareness of pacing is central to trauma healing. We intentionally slow down, listening for signs of activation or shutdown, navigating with gentleness what arises in your system. This allows healing to unfold in a way that feels steady, respectful, and sustainable.

Over time, many people experience greater self-acceptance, emotional flexibility, patience and a deeper sense of connection to themselves. Trauma healing becomes less about fixing what feels broken and more about supporting your system in accessing its natural capacity for spaciousness, calm, and connection-both within and with others.
